Order received for a water treatment plant from JGC Corporation

Osmoflo Holdings Pty Ltd (Australia, CEO Takayuki Inoue, hereinafter Osmoflo), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi Zosen Corporation, that is engaged in the seawater desalination and industrial water treatment business, has received an order of a water treatment plant from JGC Corporation (Kanagawa Prefecture, Representative Director, President Yutaka Yamazaki, hereinafter JGC). The plant will be installed at the Basrah Refinery, which JGC plans to build in Iraq.

In this project, Osmoflo will provide a filtration treatment device for raw water and a reverse osmosis (RO) membrane plant, etc. for treatment of the water from a river. The amount of treated water produced by the RO plant is 12,500 m3/d, and it is mainly used for drinking water and industrial water.
Our group will continue to develop water businesses such as seawater desalination and industrial water treatment, and contribute to the global water demand.
