The Hitachi Zosen Group has been putting more and more efforts into its biomass power generation business in recent years. In FY2018, we received an order to construct, operate, and maintain a woody biomass power plant in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture. As a business, we have started operation of the Miyanosato Woody Biomass Power Generation Plant (Hitachiota City, Ibaraki Prefecture) in 2015, and the Akita Biogas Power Station (Akita City, Akita Prefecture) in 2017. We intend to continue working to spread renewable energy such as biomass power generation, contributing to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the realization of a low-carbon society.
