Nichizo Tech Inc. (Taisho-ku, Osaka. Takanobu Niikawa, President. Hereafter, "NTI") and Slurry 21 Co., Ltd. (Nishi-ku, Osaka. Hiroki Kobayashi, President. Hereafter, "SL21"), two wholly-owned subsidiaries of Hitachi Zosen Corporation, will be merged as of April 1 this year, with NTI being retained as a company and SL21 being absorbed.

NTI has strengths in technology consulting businesses such as nondestructive inspection, measurement and diagnosis of various structures; engineering businesses such as the design, production and installation of various plants and industrial machinery; and maintenance businesses such as the maintenance, inspection and repair of various plant equipment and industrial machinery and facilities. SL21 is one of Japan's top manufacturers of slurry ice plants, selling ice-making systems to fishing ports, fisheries processing plants, and other clients.
The merger of these two companies will allow us to provide one-stop services from planning to after-sales maintenance for our ice-making system business. Through expanding business utilizing the organizational power of NTI, the effective use of qualified persons and engineers from both companies, and by strengthening the ability to promote business through unified management, both companies will be able to supplement the other, creating a multi-faceted synergy that will help sustain business growth.
